R/D Spring Corp
R/D Spring Corp started in 1981, by Donn & Pat Rickard and Jim & Barbara Dour, after the demise of S & W Engineered Products. Donn started building race engines at the age of 16, when he purchased his first Harley Davidson. C.B. Klausen of C.B. Stroker, stroked Donn’s Harley to 68". At the age of 17, Donn met Shell Thuet, who helped Donn with many projects. At Rosamond drylake the Indian Scout with Donn’s high school buddy Frank Lee riding @ 131 lbs, ran 101 mph, and the Harley with Donn riding @ 181 lbs ran 105.8 mph. Donn also ran both bikes at places like, The Divide in South Los Angeles. Donn’s admiration for making engines run better and faster was passed down to his grandson Zach who now carries on Donn’s vision.
R/D Spring Corp offers valve train parts for early and late model motorcycles, powersports, watersports, automotive and custom or one-off applications. R/D Spring uses the best quality material available and all products are designed and made in the USA.
